Corn stocks in the north and south ports increase and decrease

Corn inventories in Guangdong ports have increased compared to pre-holiday. As of September 7, domestic trade corn inventories in Guangdong ports were 316,000 tons, an increase of 107,000 tons over the pre-holiday period; foreign trade inventories were 167,000 tons, a decrease of 37,000 tons over the pre-holiday period. Guangdong port stocks totaled 483,000 tons, an increase of 70,000 tons over the pre-holiday period, which was basically the same as in early August. The corn imported in August is the last batch of imported corn arriving in Hong Kong this year. After September, almost no imported corn will arrive at the port. Later, the foreign trade inventory of corn in Guangdong port will gradually decline, and the port supply will mainly be domestic trade inventory and imported grains.
As of last Friday, corn stocks in the four northern ports totaled 2.452 million tons, a decrease of 127,000 tons from last week and an increase of 564,000 tons year-on-year. Among them, Beiliang, Dayaowan, Jinzhou and Bayuquan port stocks were 440,000 tons, 10,000 tons, 802,000 tons and 1.2 million tons respectively. At present, the trade profit of the north and south ports is about 20 yuan/ton, and the volume of the north port is increasing.
Internationally, USDA: The use of corn in the ethanol industry increased in July 2015. According to monthly data from the US Department of Agriculture, the use of corn in the ethanol industry in the United States in July 2015 was 448 million bushels, which was higher than the use of 441.2 million bushels in June. The use of corn in the ethanol industry and other industries in July 2015 was 501 million bushels, an increase of 2% from June, but a decrease of 1% from May. The ethanol industry accounted for 91.2% of corn consumption in July, and other industries accounted for 8.8%.
USDA: The output of corn distillers grains increased in July 2015. The U.S. Department of Agriculture said that the output of corn distillers grains in July was 2.001 million tons, which was higher than the 1.977 million tons in June. In July, the dry milling fuel ethanol industry and the wet milling fuel ethanol industry accounted for 89.5% and 10.5% of corn consumption respectively. The output of dry milled corn distillers grains in July was 2 million tons, an increase of 1% month-on-month and an increase of 6% from May. The production of wet-milled corn distiller's dried grains (with a moisture content of 65% or higher) was 1.14 million tons, slightly higher than the level in June and 7% less than in May.
